Where MUSIC matters
Whether you're 4 or 94, whether you've never sung a note or played an instrument before, it's never too late to discover the...
joy of music
At our Godalming music school, we teach singing, piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, songwriting and music theory to students of all ages and abilities. Our professional teachers tailor every lesson to you, working at your pace whilst gently pushing you to discover what you're truly capable of.
More than just music lessons
We're not just a music school, we're a community.
In addition to our music lessons, you can also join one of our three jazz choirs singing across Godalming and Guildford, challenge yourself on a singing retreat, or perform at one of our regular student showcases and festivals.
We believe everyone deserves the chance to perform and share their love of music.
This group has changed my life. Dramatic but true. What a fantastic group of people and a great choir leader who makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door.
Jessica
I've made the most progress at ATOM. I've used their teaching services for over two years and just won a prestigious singing competition.
Chris
I came to music late in life, as a retirement present to myself. Everything they say about learning at this age is true. ATOM have been endlessly patient with me, and more importantly, have made it fun.
Simon

What makes our music school different?
Our teachers aren't just qualified - they're working musicians who perform regularly and bring real-world experience into every lesson.
We've been recognised with awards for our community impact, and we're passionate about making music accessible to everyone through scholarships and community outreach.
The definition of Musicality is a natural talent for music - it's one of the best compliments that a musician can receive. At A Touch of Musicality, we want to take that talent and nurture it to help our students improve as musicians. Our studio's acronym is 'ATOM' - the smallest particle that can exist.
At A Touch Of Musicality, we want to take that 'ATOM' of Musicality and allow it to grow in every one of our students, no matter their age or ability. We tailor our lessons to each individual to give our students the best musical experience and help them achieve their goals.
Music has the power to transform lives. We've seen it happen time and time again - confidence grows, communities form, and joy multiplies. That's why we do what we do.

ATOM is my singing tribe - amazing people, wonderful joyous fast-paced choir rehearsals, brilliant singing teachers. So good for the soul. And Phoebe is just inspirational.

I walked into ATOMusicality very shy and not really sure if I should even be there. From the very 1st singing lesson I was put completely at ease and have been supported so much and have grown into a very confident performer. ATOM have given me chances to sing in front of crowds and even with a live band on one of their many festivals and student evenings. It really has built a supportive and caring family.
Adam
I found ATOM originally through one of Phoebe's choirs, then went on to start singing lessons a couple of years later. Fast forward to today and I sing in the choir, take singing lessons, both children have lessons here (singing and piano) and sing in the youth choir. And I've just signed up to take guitar lessons with Matt. We don't live in Godalming so have to travel through rush hour traffic to get here but it's absolutely worth the pain! ATOM is a very special place
